How to Overcome Spiritual Malnutrition
August 16, 2016
Faith-based, God's Love, Relationship Building, Spiritual IntimacyA balanced perspective keeps us from spiritual malnutrition. In the culture of Christ (where God dwells among us), we are in the process of adjusting and becoming more balanced people who can represent and share our Father’s love more appropriately.
Our heavenly Father wants to be our guiding influence through life:
“But this is the covenant which I will make…” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Jeremiah 31:33)
As we experience the ways of God in our midst, we make our heart anew and learn to view one another and entertain different thoughts as possible complements.
“…until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:13)
Balance is not a value that can be experienced by looking at one side of an issue, argument or conflict.
Balance can only be appreciated when each side is examined for complementary values
and each is allowed to contribute to an understanding of the big picture.
Let’s subscribe to balanced thinking and living. It will help us:
~ Understand better
~ Maintain a peaceable spirit
~ Develop an attitude that is less judgmental
~ Interact with one another in a more loving way
We can rise into God’s perspective and experience the strength of dynamic balance. Godly balance will bring us into a strength and stability not found anywhere else. Yes, we can maintain a repentant attitude, a forgiving heart, and be open to improving change.
Greater truth exists beyond the partial understanding that resides in our separation. The Prince of Peace reigns in the balance that exists on a level above contrasts. The ways of God in the culture of Christ help us become flexible, embrace balance and know stabilizing strength.
God’s Way of Balance reveals how we can better reflect and resemble our heavenly Father’s heart – His character, attitude, and personality. Each of the ways of God helps us live a fuller life in this world.
“God grant me the grace to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” –Reinhold Niebuhr
