God’s Guidance Enables Us to Thrive.

God wants us to know Him in our present situations and circumstances, more than from our past or in our future. Knowing who He was and who is yet to come does not compare with knowing Him as who is presently today. God’s daily guidance enables us to thrive.

When God said, “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14), He emphasized that He is the Ever-Present One. As the One who is always present, He is involved in everything between our start and our finish.

“’I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the LORD God, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty’” (Revelation 1:8).

As the Alpha and Omega, God says He is the beginning and ending. He originated the universe and everything in it, including you and me. He will also be at every ending as our completer. This includes all of us.

Even the verse quoted above from the book of Revelation emphasizes the value of God’s presence as the “I AM.” Did you notice how He “who is” is noted before He “who was” and He “who is to come?”

Since God is eternal, all past and future times are as the present to Him.

What love He has for us as He watches out for us along the way and offers the guidance we need to thrive. The Spirit of Life in us equips us to hear the inspiration God shares with each of us, especially if we are paying attention. Our heavenly Father is available to each of us in our present times and situations; He is not far from any of us.

“That they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us” (Acts 17:27).

We will have questions about good and evil as well as why many things seem to go wrong. Nevertheless, we can trust God will stay on our case, involved in our growth and development as our personal loving Father.

The peaceful benefits of partaking of God’s guiding presence are available to each of us today. His presence in our present times offers an eternal quality to our life that is full of peace, joy, and righteousness.

“For the kingdom of God is…righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit…So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another” (Romans 14:17-19).

God’s insightful presence can bring into our life His eternal values. As offspring of God, we have His attention. Does He have ours?
